Steel spare parts made by Sirmawax Tech

When a machine stops because one worn part failed, the cost is not the part. It is the lost production while you wait for a replacement. A simple spare parts plan keeps those waits short.

1. List the machines that matter most

Walk your plant and mark the machines that would stop production if they failed. Those are the ones to plan for first.

2. Find the parts that wear

Ask your operators and maintenance team which parts they replace most often. On most lines that means seals, wear plates, liners, guards, clamps, covers and fasteners. Write down each part, how often it fails and how long it takes to get a new one.

3. Keep critical spares on the shelf

For parts that fail often or take a long time to replace, keep at least one spare in stock. A part sitting on the shelf costs far less than a day of lost output.

4. Keep drawings, or a good sample

A drawing with measurements and material makes a replacement fast and accurate. If you have no drawing, keep the worn part. A fabricator can measure it and make a new one, and turn those measurements into a drawing for next time.

5. Check parts on a schedule

Look at high-wear parts at set times, not only when they break. Replacing a part during planned downtime is far cheaper than an emergency stop.

6. Use a local maker

Imported parts can take weeks to arrive. A local workshop can often make the same steel part much faster, and can improve it if the original keeps failing.

We can help

We keep common steel spare parts in stock, including seal kits, hydraulic components, plates, guards, clamps and fasteners, and we make others to order from drawings or samples. See our steel spare parts, or send us a photo of the part you need.

Have a drawing, a sketch or a broken part?

Send it over. We will tell you what it takes to build it, and how soon.
